Installation seemed successful, but when I direct my browser to the ip-address indicated at startup, I get the "Page not available" message.
I can't ping the wiki ip-address either, but I can ping the hosting machine.
Problem is where to start looking. I've poked around this forum and the FAQ without finding a problem description fitting the one I have.
I've feeling this problem is a trivial one, but I'm stuck, so please bear with me.
Any suggestions?
Trond

Hi Trond - I'm assuming you're running the VM on a windows machine somewhere. Are you trying to access the wiki from the host windows machine or another computer. It's possible that your hosting provider has some kind of NAT/firewall in place that would prevent you from accessing the wiki from the "outside world".
Any other details you could provide (like the IP address) would be helpful.
PM me if you don't want to divulge that information publicly ;)
thanks,
pete

I'm having the same problem. I got it up and running on my own work PC just fine, but when I tried to move it to another PC on our company intranet for a pilot program, I'm having the same IP trouble. I know I fooled around with a bunch of stuff early on with the VM on my own PC, but figured the settings would carry over since I just copied the VM wholesale. As far as I can tell the firewall settings are the same on both machines (off for both).
Link Trond, I figure this is something trivial, one command or setting to change, but I'm just not sure what it is! Any suggestions would be great. :)

Does your company intranet have a DHCP server? By default, the VM gets it's IP address via DHCP. If you're not getting an IP via DCHP, you might want to try the troubleshooting steps in this FAQ:

I can now access the wiki from a browser on the hosting machine, but not from other machines. Last time I tried, I had no access to the wiki from the hosting machine either.
I guess this problem is (most likely) caused by a firewall issue.
The wiki seems to get an (seemingly sane) ip-adress from DHCP, if I read the output from ifconfig correctly.
Now, I'll have to find a network guy to talk to...:(

I'm still having the same problem.
Trond,
Did you talk to your network people? Do you know what the problem is/was for you?
