LDAP other than via apache

Hello,

Has anyone be able to get dWiki working with LDAP without resorting to httpd auth? In particular has anyone been able to get the LdapAuthentication.php plugin for mediawiki to work?

I love the package so far but I need more integration that httdp can offer for it to work in my case.

Can anyone help?

In an older comment they say it is on the Roadmap, but if it works, that would be fantastic, have anyone more informations ?
