I am very disappointed. You announced that all the text strings for translation were finally joined together into only one text file: this is false!

There are still a lot of strings which are not into this file, and which it is necessary to seek, then to modify in other files
(and when they contain application code, this is always dangerous to make a modification)

I don't see the difference with Gooseberry...:(

We aren't done with it yet. That's all. You will find more and more strings in resources.txt in our successive betas. Our goal is get all of them into a single file. As you can imagine, that's a bit of an undertaking, but one that we take very seriously. Just give us a bit more time!

And to clarify my position on this: any non-localized string will be counted as a bug and fixed. No exceptions!

BTW, did you see that multiple localized resource files can co-exists simultaneously? For instance, for a French resource file call it 'resources.fr.txt', for Spanish, call it 'resources.es.txt'. DekiWiki will first look into the most specific resources file (e.g. resources.es-mx.txt for Mexian Spanish), then in the language resource file (e.g. resources.es.txt) and finally in the default resources file (resources.txt). This way, you only need to add the strings you want to localize to the specific file.

Also, this makes it much easier to pass-on the localization files to others.

hey bizzz,

i'm largely responsible for making sure the localization strings are being moved. every day i run into a few more, and i keep moving them into the resources.txt file. it is an active work item, it's just taking a while with all the other changes that are afoot. let me know if there are any specific places that you're seeing things (the next beta should be a lot better about this).

I believe that I am a little too impatient :o
Now things are clear and I'll modify only the file resource.txt, nothing else.
For Royk, I'll make a list of all the places where some strings still exist without corresponding text into resources.txt.

thanks so much - i would wait until the next beta comes out, cause there was more work done for that in localization.
