Installation auf Vista schlägt fehl

Hi,

ich habe versucht wiki auf einem Vista System zu installieren, Habe es wi in den Anleitungen beschrieben gemacht aber leider bekomme ich diesen fehler, ( siehe Bild im Anahang?

To obtain more detailed error information, can you try running the installer using the following and attach the resulting log.txt.:

msiexec /i MindTouchDeki.msi /l*v log.txt

You can also workaround the problem by installing IIS manually before running the installer. In order to prevent this problem in the future, I would like to see your log.txt output before IIS is installed though. :)

Mach eine Zip Datei mit dem Log. Dann solte es klein genug sein. Anderfalls, sende die Zip Datei zu steveb (at) mindtouch (dot) com. Danke!

Thank you for posting the log! It is failing while trying to execute the following command line:


pkgmgr.exe /iu:IIS-WebServerRole;IIS-WebServer;WAS-WindowsActivationService;WAS-ProcessModel;WAS-NetFxEnvironment;WAS-ConfigurationAPI;IIS-StaticContent;IIS-HttpErrors

The log didn't indicate why this command failed. It could have timed out, or it's possible that this command fails in your environment (ex. maybe pkgmgr is not in the path?). Can you check if you are able to manually execute this line from a command prompt?

I tried to execute manually, the result Windows explorer crashes. No reaction of the system and i have to reeboot.

I guess i stay on linux *lol* ok is there an version for MAc *smile*

ich habe es nun immer wieder und immer wieder versucht leider ohne Erfolg. Eine Installation auf einer Windows Umgebung ist nicht möglich.

Achja gibts das für MAC Server zufällig???

If you haven't found it already, you can use VMplayer to host the Deki VM under Windows or OS X. It works seamlessly. For production deployment, we recommend using VMware ESX server though as it is a more robust environment for virtual machines.
