Hard week-end, but I had promised to do it in June and I was late...
The resources.txt file is translated into French and is available with the name resources.fr-fr.txt
For Royk: I also include a file with all the errors which I found during the translation.
A lot of text strings still miss, especially in the part “Editor window”, and all associated sub-windows.
You can now test all missing text strings into resources.txt : install and use this french version. Each time you see an english word, be sure it is missing into the original resources.txt
You'll find these 2 files as attached files to this message
Thanks for the list - I'll be sure to address all these missing localization strings this week (and update this thread accordingly).

Hey Bizzz,
I committed a series of fixes yesterday that add these strings to the localization file. I've attached the diff on the resources.txt file so you can see what's been added/removed. These will only work if you're on the latest SVN ... or you can wait for 1.8.1d or 1.8.2 (Hayes+).
To address a few of your concerns in the translation file:
1.) None/Guest/Viewer/Contrib are not localizable - unfortunately, this will be the case. We're actually using those strings to interface between PHP and the API - we'll be looking at ways of fixing this in a future release. Since this is only really viewable in the control panel, we didn't think it warranted the engineering (yet).
2.) Recent Changelog issues - the descriptions are generated once for the recentchange log when a change is made - so if you switch localizations after a few edits, the RC log will still show the english strings, cause those are stored directly in the DB. However, after you localize, the RC log should push your translated strings. If not - this is a bug and should be filed in Mantis.
3.) Editor - localizing all the editor stuff will require a bit more work and I'll try to squeeze it in before Hayes+ (it's a different codebase, unfortunately)
4.) Service Management - Authentication/Extension - See #1
5.) Timestamp display (like in Preferences) - I want to address this issue at all once, so I'll be working on this one later.
6.) Skin names aren't localizable - but you can change the skin names by changing the folder/folder.php file to change the name of template/skins if the preset names don't suit you. Again, only administrators would ever notice such a thing, so it's not such a big deal.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks for this work Royk,
I'll try to finish a new version next weekend.
For the editor, I have made a small test this evening. As a lot of languages are already available into /var/www/deki-hayes/editor/lang, I have tried to modify variable _editor_lang into the file /var/www/deki-hayes/editor/XinhaCore.js
With _editor_lang = "fr"; I can see a lot of editor english strings now correctly translated in french, but not all of them. May be it will be easier to use this variable rather than to translate all the used strings...

Even if this is not the final 1.8.1.d version, I have translated the last SVN resources.txt (Rev 6742).
You can replace previous 1.8.1.c version with this one (included in this post)
Good night ;)

I'm trying to update our French translations for the next release. If you have some time please check out this thread: http://forums.opengarden.org/showthread.php?t=958 which has details about how to help out with the translation. This is a small update so there are only about 100 new keys that need to be updated. Thanks!
