Don't be cruel with OpenGarden guys.
If you make a search on Google site, you'll find all informations you want on Google Analytics.
And if you look at your wiki configuration site (control panel page), I think you will be... happy;)

This is actually a pretty cool feature. Deki Wiki is one of the few wikis (the only?) that provides out-of-the-box support for Google Analytics.
I did a quick write-up of the feature here:
http://wiki.opengarden.org/Deki_Wiki/Features/Google_Analytics
I think you'll like it, but if you don't. Just blank out the field with the code and it will be disabled.

Hi Steve,
I have a Wiki on free hosting with MindTouch. When I initially set up my Wiki I did not eneter my analytics code and now the option no longer appears. Is there a way to enter my google acct number now?
You are not able to set Analytics on Wik.is accounts unless you go Pro. Once you go Pro, you can add in the Google Analytics code into the custom HTML regions to track your own site's traffic.

Thanks royk,
I appreciate the response. I thought that there was an Analytics box on the settings page when I first set the site up. I must have seen the capability in some documentation and got confused.
That functionality is available for the open-source version of Deki Wiki, if you install it on your own servers.

I'm runing DekiWiki on a local VM-Ware Machine without a domain and we use the wiki only in our localnetwork. Is it possible to etablish a connection to g-analytics without a normal domain like www.blablawiki.de? I typed the local IP into the domain field on google-analytics.com and get a error back. After this i entered a fake domain and copied the analytics code into the config-field in my local wiki. would it work?

Worth giving it a shot. If it works, you'll see results in your google-analytics accounts 24 hrs later.
Let us know what happens!

Even with our Google Analytics account ID left blank, there's still a google-analytics.com call WITH THE MINDTOUCH ACCOUNT NUMBER?!
How do we prevent this call. It's a violation of our users privacy to send their traffic and browsing logs to a 3rd-party.

Leaving the value blank should entirely remove the call. That sounds like a bug in the logic. What version are you running? If it's a 10.1.x version, I want to make sure we fix this in the next service release.

10.1.1
the account ID is blank but there's still a var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-68075-16"); line after the footer and MTMessage elements.

Check your LocalSettings.php file. I think there's a default override in there.

Yeah, we did. But this is still, IMO, a *really* bad action on the part of MindTouch.
