In the previous VMware model I believe logins were persistent between login (cookie?). After I updated to 1.8.1d I have to log in every time.
Was I just imagining things on the previous release? Is there a way to turn cookies back on?
logins are still persistent and have been for previous releases. there might be a bug or a misconfiguration somewhere. do you have firebug installed? if so, can you copy/paste the cookie information for 'authtoken'? (what i'm interested in seeing is your Expires value).

on subsequent visits to the site, what are the headers you are sending to the site? (I'm interested in seeing what cookie info is set).
Also, when you close your browser and restart it, does your browser still send the cookie request?

If I just go to the wiki home page in a new browser, this is what I see.

See this post: http://forums.opengarden.org/showthread.php?t=485
but in my test in IE6 and IE7 the set time is not rispect (in IE7 I not understand where is cookie file).

Not that I have heard. I just have everyone log in every time.
we've identified the issue - the IE class of browsers aren't respecting a RFC from '97 :(
this will be fixed for the 1.82 release next week.
