Hi, we have upgraded to 2009 release this week. I tried flash uploader, but it failed with IO error (no details). Classical uploader works. What can be wrong?

Does it work for everybody? Has anybody idea, what is wrong and how to fix it?

Ok, different question: does it work for anybody?
Works for me. Did you upgrade it manually on your 8.08 release? You have to revert that if you upgraded...

I see a similar problem on our installation. It is a fresh installation (MindTouch Core v.9.02.2) on a debian host. The flash uploader never uploads any of the selected files. But I can't see any error message.

@waltera: Do uploads with the standard uploader work?

Hi crb, yes, the standard uploader works for a file at a time. Same as for literakl. Could it be a problem of flash on Linux? Firefox 3.5, Shockwave flash 9.0 r159. Thanks for you efforts.

I did some more testing with different Linuxes (Ubuntu 9.0, Opensuse 10.3 and 11.1) different Firefoxes (3.01 and 3.5) and different flash versions: same problem with the flash uploader. Then I fired up an XP virtualbox I have lying around and it worked properly. So my conclusion is that it is a Linux + flash problem. Most of our users (students) use Linux, so it is a real problem here. Have to use the less powerfull classic uploader. Cheers!
waltera, perhaps you could file a bug for this issue? Thanks!

I think that this is either related to flash version or server instance. We experienced this issue on both windows and linux clients, mindtouch is installed on linux server.

Please, look at the list of known issues of SWFUpload (http://demo.swfupload.org/Documentation/#knownissues). Maybe you've faced one of them.
