Thread: LDAP displayname-pattern problems

    Default LDAP displayname-pattern problems

We have implemented LDAP Authentication and are taking advantage of the optional displayname-pattern on the service config. I would like to have the USER_NAME be set to "First Last", ex. "Joe Blow". The pattern I have used is "{extensionAttribute7} {sn}" (no quotes), and this works great except for the fact that I cannot get it to stop replacing my space with an underscore. Has anyone else run into this?

Unfortunately -- at least for now -- user names are also page titles meaning that they must follow title standards such as replacing spaces with underscores.

This was also discussed here recently.

We may take a look at this annoyance for the next Itasca release.

Thanks for the reply. I swear I searched for "displayname-pattern", but I did not find the post you mentioned.

    Thanks again for the reply.
