    Question 1.8.3: Google Maps error

Well, after updating to 1.8.3, the google maps extension is still working but only displays the default settings, Mindtouchs office location. i don't get any errors in firebug, I even deleted the Google Extension and added it again, no luck so far.... Hard refresh and deleting the skins/common/cache didn't help either...
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Tobias

Delete the files in the /var/www/deki-hayes/skins/common/cache folder. You might be pulling up old JS code from there.

    Duh! Sorry didn't see that.

Can you do me a favor and safe the HTML of the page and email it to me as an attachment (steveb at mindtouch dot com)?

    Exclamation

Ha, I just found the problem (well, it could also be a bug).
The address contained a German umlaut (ü,ö,ä,ß) and as soon as I removed it, it worked.
But I am pretty sure, this didn't happen before... I am also sure that Google Maps doesn't have any problems with it, take a look here.

I made some changes to google.map. It's very possible that this introduced an error with extended characters. Thanks for finding it! I'll look into it in the morning.

Found the issue. The 1.8.3 dekiscript parser had a bug and was parsing in extended ASCII instead of UTF-8. Stupid, stupid. I checked in a fix and it will part an upcoming update. Thanks for pointing it out!
