Default Email on watched page change

    Hello,

I spend 30 minutes thinking that my SMTP configuration with Deki Wiki was wrong because I was watching a page and not getting email notifications.

Looking through old lists, I see some threads from 2006 indicating that this was not yet possible. Have you included this yet?

I know you can use RSS feeds, but most of the people using our wiki (our customers) have no clue what an RSS feed is.

our email a page function doesn't send email notifications on change. It only allows you to send the link to the page along with a note to a user. The RSS feed is still the way that you would receive notices of changes to the wiki. There are many services out there that allow you to input an RSS feed and then it will send you emails when a change occurs to the RSS feed

these of course are of absolutely no use if your wiki is behind a corporate firewall

NewsGator has free tools to consume RSS almost any way you like. One of them allows you to read RSS feeds right from Outlook. Give a try!
