    Default Deki Script Extension Help

    Followed the directions to set it up, but I don't know what the part below means:

    "Before the DekiScript service can be used, it must be configured with the location of a DekiScript extension file."

    What do I need to put for this? I'd like to work with the DHTML extension, but I don't have DekiScript installed.

    Also if there is anything I have to do with linux, PHP, or MYSQL I'll need simple step by step instructions. Someone should make a video called linux administration for dunce Windows Admins. I'll buy it if it is informative! I am trying to watch some Redhat linux tutorial videos, but unfortunately they are from around 1999 or 2000.

    Thanks,

    Beez

    Beez - The DekiScript runtime is built into Deki Wiki. To use a DekiScript extension (like the Dhtml extension) you just need to add the service in the wiki's control panel.

    Here are the instructions:

    Default I cannot get the dhtml extension configured.

    Using the directions provided I recieve and error message when I attempt to configure the dhtml extension. The error message is shown below.

    Service dhtml reset failed
    conflicting uri: /deki/services/default/17

    I have had no problem configuring the other extensions.

    I got this to work simply by adding the DHTML extension. Nothing else was needed.

    aikenc,

    Could it be that you already have a URI that is numbered 17?

    Thanks all for your help

    Compared to other wiki's I've used (including the most popular by age and # of downloads) the extension process for Deki Wiki is a breeze. The only complaint that I have is that you need to enter new services (extensions) for each multiple wiki separately. You won't find an easier wiki to configure.

    Default dhtml

    It may be that there already is a uri 17. The detailed error message is:

    Request URI:
    http://windows2003poc1.harley-davids...156&apikey=###

    Server response:
    Array
    (
    [exception] => Array
    (
    [message] => conflicting uri: /deki/services/default/17
    [source] => mindtouch.dream
    [stacktrace] => Array
    (
    [frame] => Array
    (

    [1] => MindTouch.Dream.DreamHost.<PostServices>d__1f.Move Next()
    [2] => MindTouch.Dream.Coroutine.<>c__DisplayClass1.<Iter ate>b__0()
    [3] => MindTouch.Dream.Task.Execute(VoidHandler handler, TaskBehavior behavior)
    )

    )

    [type] => System.ArgumentException
    )

    Hi Chris - What version of Deki Wiki are you using? Some DekiScript extensions may rely on features that aren't available in the runtime if you happen to be using an older version of Deki Wiki. I would recommend using the latest 1.9.0b version (if you're using the VM, you can just run: updateWiki.sh)
