Just read the Gravatar blog post. Is that why Steve/Roy/Aaron etc have forum avatars, or is it just MT staff have set pictures?

Avatars on the forums? These aren't gravatars ... just ones we've manually uploaded from the CP inside vBulletin: http://forums.developer.mindtouch.co...?do=editavatar

I only have the "Do not use an avatar" option.

(Not that I'm necessarily advocating that they be enabled; I'm not sure I think avatars add much to a forum, and they are often abused. Next thing it will be page-long image signatures!)

It's very misleading in the Profile page, because the Edit Avatar page doesn't allow you to upload your own picture. But there is also an Edit Picture page, which does:

Let me know if that works. I'd love to see more faces on the forum!

OK, now I have a profile picture, but not an avatar. Seems they're not quite the same.

Hmm, it appears I have a Browse & Upload button on my avatar page as well. No idea what it takes to get that though...

Sounds like Roy found the settings that needed to be tweaked. Hopefully everyone can now proudly display their face on these forums!

Are profile pictures in dekiwiki anytime soon supported by open source and commercial editions? In the demo videos I see those cool top contributors pictures next to the pages. I want this to!
