Forgot password broken?
When I request a new password, I get "There is no user by the name "user.name". Please check your spelling." I tried with several different users, no one is working... I'm really shure that they exist and that I spelled them correct.
My wiki is running Lyons Preview 3.
Do you have any special characters in the user names? Can you paste a username here so that I can try it locally?
No, I don't have special characters. The users usually have a dot, but not all. I tried it with different usernames.
I just installed Deki 9.02 from SourceForge, but no change =(
I just tried it now and it worked just fine, using "guy.dot". Are you using an external auth provider? Are you seeing any API error messages?
No, I'm using the internal auth provider...
Tobru I am seeing the same issue - did you ever determine a solution? Thanks.
No, I have no solution until now! =(
The problem is still there, even with the newest release (9.02.1)...
tobru: this is still an issue with 9.02.1??? is there an open bug? what are the steps required to reproduce?
When clicking the "forgot password" button, the system returns "There is no user by the name "<user>". Please check your spelling." - every time and regardless of user name input.
What version of Deki are you running? MindTouch Core v.9.02.1.
What is your deployment platform? (VM? Source? Package? MSI? Wik.is?) Source.
What template/skin are you using? Ace.
What browser are you using? Firefox 3.0.10 and IE 7.
Are you seeing any error messages from...
the browser? no
the frontend? yes: "There is no user by the name "<user>". Please check your spelling."
the api? no
the webserver (apache, iis)? no
the deki-api.log? no
Looks like I need to add another question. This problem only shows itself if you have a private wiki. Something that I dont think was mentioned. Here's the bug:
