Thread: dream hosted web site

    Default dream hosted web site

    All,

I'm new to REST and Dream so please forgive this question if the answer is obvious.

I'd like to use Dream for several RESTful web services that will be used by a web site. To avoid cross domain scripting security issues, I believe I need to use Dream to serve the web site as well as the services.

First is this truly the case or can I use IIS to serve the site and Dream to server the services on the same domain and port? Second, if this is the case, can one use Dream to serve a site? I'm using a third party ajax library and some other resources that are not part of the actual HTML pages.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    /Stuart

    Default Dream and IIS

While Dream is architected so that it can easily be integrated in various environments, nobody has yet done the work for IIS. That said, you might also be able to use rewrite and proxy rules to forward requests coming in through the IIS server to your Dream host. Doing so with Apache is easy, but I don't know about IIS.

Hope you find something that works for you.

    Cheers,
