Indexing remote services

Is it possible to add/merge to Deki search index, information that is not a Deki page? For example: We have a remote service that give us some information and we would like that information to be searchable within Deki and displayed as URL links in between Deki pages.

No, there is no built-in mechanism for that. For scenarios like this, we point to our OpenSearch API and recommend getting an OpenSearch results aggregator to facilitate combining search results from multiple sources. This will require the other source to be OpenSearch-compatible as well though.

It's great feature to integrate it with the browser! Google Chrome is going perfect with that. But I did not see how to enable it in IE?
I think you could advertise that feature! I didn't know it even exist!
