I have a Mindtouch Core installation running in VM Player. After a computer reboot, non of the users can login. All credentials return 'You do not have permissions to view this page - please try logging in'
Any thoughts appreciated.

I suspect the clock on the VM has drifted sufficiently to void cookies as soon as your users log in. Sync the clocks again and the problem will go away.

Apologies for what may be a silly question ... is there an easy way to sync the clocks in the VM Player ... most of what I find is about installing tools and configuring time sync. Thanks!
You could just manual set the time to test the suggestion.
To fix time on debian (example )
dpkg-configure tzdate
date --set 2011-027
date --set 15:30
Thank you for your assistance!

When users login to MindTouch VM, they don't seem to be logged in because no access to functions and there is no error message. It does not show their username that they are logged in.
Correcting the date in MindTouch VM fixed this issue.
(ie. MindTouch VM#date 08242012) syntax for MMDDYYYY
