Search not working - won't rebuild index

The search on our MindTouch wiki 9.12.3 is no longer working. I've attempted to click the rebuild button on the control panel, but no dice there.

I renamed the /var/www/dekiwiki/bin/cache/luceneindex/default directory, then restarted deki wiki, and it built a new segments file that is 20 bytes, but didn't go any further than that.

I think out problems started when our VM ran out of disk space and crashed. To fix it, we cleared up some free space, fixed a corrupted database table, and allocated more space to the virtual disk drive. Everything else seems to work, but the search is DEAD.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Have you been able to get any traction on this? I've recently moved our wiki between VMWare servers to a fresh installation by following the guide to complete migration and our search is no longer working now.
