Default Recen Changes Only Shows Changes To Some Users

    Hello,

We have configured Mindtouch Core for Intranet usage. All users are authenticated against AD and added with the new account role of "Guest". We have then created Groups with roles set to "None" to which we assign users to. We then apply the appropriate permissions to specific pages to the appropriate role we created.

Today as I was performing some training with some of our internal users, I noticed that when my user account is logged in and I click on the "Recent Changes" link, I seem to get a list of all the changes and all the functions are available to me. My user account has "admin" privileges. When I log into the site as one of our regular users who have "Guest" privileges on most of the website with the exception of a couple of pages specific to them, when they click on the "Recent Changes" link, they receive an empty page. Entering their own name in the "View changes by user" field yields no results also. If I click on the "show each edit" link on that page, I get a message from the browser indicating that "Internet Explorer cannot display this feed".

It seems to me to be some sort of a permission bug/collision but I can not figure out what it could be.

Any assistance or insight is appreciated.

    Default

    Hello All,

I actually just figured out what the issue is. The default role we are assigning new users (i.e. "Guest") does not have "SUBSCRIBE" set. So I either have to change the Guest role to allow SUBSCRIBE or create a new default role that has that which is equivalant to out "Viewer" role.

One I enabled the SUBSCRIBE for the user role, they were able to see everything as expected.

    Sorry for the bother!

    MR
